Custom Private Photo Shoots

"HvB photography" offers a variety of individual photo sessions for: professional headshots, full-character portraits, and/or tasteful artistic nudes.

:: Who wants to get photographed ?

We get inquiries for portrait sessions from all over the world, mostly North America and Europe. The applicants either meet with Henning von Berg in Berlin, Amsterdam or Los Angeles. Many persons from all occupations and all ages asked to be photographed, including numerous prominent people.

There is increasing interest in high-quality nude photo sessions which have been stimulated by the publication of famous sports and showbiz personalities shown in aesthetic intimate pictures. More and more average citizens are sufficiently courageous to try something new.

Also older persons are willing to take this step in order to preserve beautiful memories. Many applicants are in their fifties and sixties. Our oldest models to date are a 94-year old Hollywood actor and a 108-year old Berlin housewife. Most requests come from average people who would like to have professional pictures taken of themselves.

Some people like to get some classic portraits for their mother's birthday. Other people are looking for intimate erotic photos as a very personal gift for their spouse or companion. Most applicants prefer to pose alone but some travel to the set with a friend or a partner.

 

A custom “Private Shoot” is exactly that. In general, the results are not intended for publication. Perhaps the model doesn't have an ‘ideal figure' or because of the subject's social position.

HvB photography guarantees a hundred percent discretion. In this respect, Henning von Berg is very proud that numerous international celebrities have shown him their trust.

The results of such “Private Shoots” are completely intended for personal use. Some clients will hide the photos in a secret album. Others will give away the prints with pride to their family members, their life partners, or their friends. A few will want to see their images published.

We will handle all “Private Shoots” reliably and individually. There are no age restrictions and no taboos. All requests will be answered discreetly.

 

To start, there is one preliminary meeting between the photographer and the client so that both sides will get to know each other better.

Every person will tell us which type of photographs they prefer. We are offering a huge variety for different purposes: head-shots, portraits and whole body shots; solo, couple and group shoots; romantic themes and fetish; colour and black-and-white images; indoors and outdoors in nature. Perhaps some people have particular fantasies which they have wanted to realize for a long time?

Only after a very honest evaluation, Henning von Berg will be able to cover all personal and physical characteristics of the customer in an optimal way. To produce an artistic photograph, he will always take sufficient time with everyone!

Professional models are usually expensive. However, these trained pros bring a perfect body and lots of posing experiences before the camera. Afterwards many pictures will show excellent results. Non-professional models will first need time to adjust to the new and unique situation - especially with posing for nude pictures. Amateur models without practice also need to get comfortable with the photographer. This will take working time and a few ‘warm-up' rolls of film.

One single film with 24 or 36 exposures is never enough. Only the repeated click of the camera trigger will lead to the models relaxation. It is known that the last pictures of a photo session will show the most relaxed images.

We take our time and don't rush. A standard custom shoot with changing-time for 3 different outfits lasts about 2-3 hours and includes approximately 3-4 rolls of film.

We are working with several different high-quality cameras. In example, there is a 35mm SLR-camera Nikon F100, a medium format SLR-camera Mamiya 645 Pro TL, and a digital SLR-camera with 10 MegaPixel for highest resolution.

Normally, Henning von Berg will work with at least one photo assistant, who helps with the sun reflector, etc. However, if the client wishes total privacy, this can be done without a third person on the set.

As is customary, a photo session is calculated per film. Our basic fee is EUR €380,- (USD $450.-) which includes the first roll of film. Each additional film will cost EUR €45,- (USD $50.-). On inquiry, a lump sum fee can be agreed upon.

We will offer a reduction (discount of up to 80 %!) if the model's look is especially interesting for Henning von Berg's photography portfolio, and the model agrees to get published. We'll clarify all such details via email.

The price of each single film will include a so called “contact sheet” with up to 36 small pics on one page. So, with three films the customer will get 3 contact sheets with more than 100 images. If desired, we can scan the best pictures and burn it on a CD-ROM.

Afterwards, every selected image can be ordered by the client in any format and amount. For security reasons we will send all orders insured. Shipping and handling is additional.

The total price of the shoot includes a poster print (size ca. 20x30 cm which is approx. 8x10 inches) of our favourite image. The prices for additional 'custom prints' do vary depending on the size. The unit prices: Standard format (size ca. 13x18 cm/5x7 inches) is EUR €9,- (USD $10.-); Large format (size ca. 20x30 cm/8x10 inches) is EUR €18,- (USD $20.-); Poster format (size ca. 30x45 cm/12x16 inches) is EUR €38,- (USD $41.-). Legal tax to be added.

A “Private Shoot” is something quite special. Therefore the cost should not outweigh the unique value of the end product.
